Algenta Launches dIRC

New Internet Chat Program Released -- With Full Source Code

Algenta has released dIRC 1.2 for Windows, a new Internet Relay Chat client that lets thousands of users around the world communicate with each other.

dIRC provides a clean, Office 2000-style interface that allows you to chat with other users even before learning standard IRC commands. You can talk on multiple chat servers at the same time, and establish direct connections with others to transfer files or to chat privately.

dIRC can be customized by creating new commands and by adding handlers that automatically respond to remote events. Popup menus are also configurable; just drag a command where you want it to be located for future use. dIRC can automatically spell check and correct your messages while you type to minimize common typos.

The full dIRC source code is available for download. A fully featured evaluation version of dIRC is available at the Algenta Technologies web site, http://www.algenta.com/, or at http://www.dircchat.com. Individual licenses cost $24.95. Site licenses are also available.
